The Miami Marlins signed free-agent outfielder Billy Hamilton to a minor league deal on Tuesday. He will provide the Marlins elite defense and outfield depth but will need to hit in the minors to see at-bats over Jess Snchez and Bryan De La Cruz. The 31-year-old slashed .220/.242/.378 with two home runs, 11 RBI, 23 runs, and nine stolen bases over 71 games for the Chicago White Sox in 2021. Hamilton has elite speed and has stolen 30 or more bases five times in his career. Fantasy managers searching for speed in deep-league formats can add Hamilton if he does get called up later in the season.
