Eloy Jimenez Nearing Rehab Assignment

Chicago White Sox left fielder Eloy Jimenez celebrates with second baseman Danny Mendick

Chicago White Sox manager Tony La Russa said that outfielder Eloy Jimenez (hamstring) “is getting ready to play games again.” There’s a chance that Jimenez resumes his minor league rehab assignment with Triple-A Charlotte on Tuesday after his rehab was paused in early June due to “normal leg soreness.” The White Sox were adamant that it wasn’t a setback for the 25-year-old, rather just the normal progression given his injury. Fantasy managers shouldn’t expect a quick rehab assignment, however, as Jimenez hasn’t played in a big-league game since April 23. Adam Haseley, who had been playing well in the minors, might not have a regular role for long in Chicago with Jimenez getting closer to a return.
