Detroit Tigers infielder Harold Castro(calf) was removed in the sixth inning of Sunday’s game against the Texas Rangers. He was hit in his calf by a pitch in the first inning of the contest and his calf began to feel stiff later in the game, leading to his removal. Tigers manager A.J. Hinch labeled him day-to-day. Castro was 0-for-2 with a pair of runs scored in Sunday’s game. The 28-year-old is slashing .281/.298/.432 with four home runs, 16 RBI and 17 runs over 45 games on the year.
