Kris Bryant Close To A Rehab Assignment

Kris Bryant

Colorado Rockies third baseman Kris Bryant (back) is close to going on a minor league rehab assignment and will hit on the field again on Thursday. Bryant also took batting practice on Tuesday and could play in some rehab games this weekend before potentially returning to the Rockies at some point next week. A back strain has put the 30-year-old on the injured twice already this season, so he’s played in only 17 games, going 17-for-63 (.270) with no home runs, four RBI and 11 runs scored in 73 plate appearances. If Bryant returns and can avoid any setbacks, he should be able to provide fantasy managers with some decent power at hitter-friendly Coors Field.
