Max Muncy Activated From Injured List Thursday

Max Muncy

The Los Angeles Dodgers activated infielder Max Muncy (elbow) from the injured list on Thursday and optioned infielder/outfielder Zach McKinstry to Triple-A Oklahoma City in a corresponding move. Muncy was out for two weeks with left elbow inflammation. It’s the same elbow he injured on the final game of the regular season last year that caused him to miss the postseason. The 31-year-old went 2-for-14 with a home run and two RBI on a four-game rehab assignment with Oklahoma City, and he was hitting just .150/.327/.263 with three long balls and 14 RBI in 133 at-bats before he aggravated his elbow. He’s starting at second base and is batting cleanup on Thursday against Chicago White Sox right-hander Dylan Cease. Fantasy managers are hoping he can return to his pre-injury form from last year.
