Mike Trout Not In Lineup Friday

Mike Trout

Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout (hip) is not in the starting lineup for his team’s Friday night contest against the New York Mets. Trout injured his hip while running the bases back on Tuesday and hasn’t played since. The star outfielder initially sounded optimistic that he would be able to return to the action on Friday but he will be held out at least another day. Interim manager Phil Nevin did tell reporters that he believes Trout is close to a return. Los Angeles will go with Juan Lagares, Brandon Marsh, and Jo Adell in the outfield as they gear up to take on Mets starter Tylor Megill. Fantasy gamers rostering Trout will want to get him out of their starting lineups on Friday.
