76ers Emerging As Front-Runners To Land P.J. Tucker

P.J. Tucker

It appears we are only days away from the Philadelphia Rockets becoming a thing. For now, the Sixers are insistent upon bringing back the former Rockets teams that James Harden had previous success with. The latest player is P.J. Tucker, with the Sixers emerging as the favorites to land the veteran free-agent forward.

The 37-year-old could still return to the Miami Heat, but the Sixers are trying to create enough space to sign the forward to a three year deal worth up to $30 million. If they convince Tucker to head to South Philly, the team could then look to move forward Matisse Thybulle to open up a spot in the rotation.

The rumors are bound to continue swirling prior to free agency opening up on Thursday, especially after Harden declined his player option as a way to help give the Sixers more flexibility.
