Aaron Judge Set For Arbitration Hearing On June 22

Aaron Judge

The New York Yankees and outfielder Aaron Judge have an arbitration hearing scheduled for June 22, according to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic. The two sides have yet to agree on a long-term contract extension for the 30-year-old superstar. Judge had stated prior to the season that he was hoping to avoid an arbitration hearing this year. Coupling that fact with the mounting media pressure on the Yankees to make a move on Judge, it stands to reason that we could see contract talks escalate between the two parties over the next week. Judge has been sensational this year, leading the majors in both home runs (24) and OPS (1.077) while compiling 100 R+BI over 58 games.
