Adley Rutschman Hitting Cleanup On Tuesday

Adley Rutschman

Baltimore Orioles catcher Adley Rutschman will be hitting cleanup for the first time in his career in Tuesday’s game against the Toronto Blue Jays. The rookie has been primarily hitting fifth or sixth in the order over his first weeks in the majors. The 24-year-old is still looking to settle in at the plate. Over 19 games, he’s slashing .183/.256/.268 with four doubles and a triple. He has yet to hit his first home run in the majors. The Orioles are prioritizing keeping Rutschman in the order on a daily basis. He is serving as designated hitter on Tuesday and also played designated hitter this past Saturday. Fantasy managers may be a bit frustrated by the slow start, but he remains a must-roster player in all formats due to his high upside and his value is bolstered by the fact that he’ll see more plate appearances than most other catchers.
