Alvin Kamara Bracing For Lawsuit

The New Orleans Saints had hoped their star running back’s unresolved legal issues would fly under the radar and fail to impede upon the 2022 season. That seems to be increasingly unlikely.

Alvin Kamara may see a lawsuit in his future. After allegedly beating a man during a fight in Las Vegas, Kamara became a suspension candidate. Now, Tony Buzbee, the lawyer from the recent Deshaun Watson case, is representing the victim, who claims to have suffered spinal and brain injuries. Still facing felony battery charges, Kamara seems likely to receive a six-game suspension, though it is not yet known when that will be administered. Mark Ingram should be replacing him in his absence.

For those looking to go long on a futures bet for Offensive Player of the Year, I’d advise fading DraftKings‘ +6000 odds on the Saints back. Najee Harris at +6000 or Dalvin Cook at +3000 are much safer options at this point in time.
