Brandon Belt Homers In First Start Back

Brandon Belt

San Francisco Giants first baseman Brandon Belt got his first start since returning from the injured list on Wednesday, and he delivered with a long solo home run in the 3-2 loss to the Kansas City Royals. He also walked in four plate appearances. Injuries have been an ongoing issue for the lefty slugger, but when Belt has been healthy, he’s been extremely productive over the last few seasons. His .765 OPS and five homers in 104 at-bats this season won’t be too impressive to fantasy managers, but the power numbers are sure to improve after he slugged .597 and .591 the past two seasons.
