Brandon Crawford Exits Tuesday’s Game Early

San Francisco Giants shortstop Brandon Crawford hits a sacrifice fly ball

San Francisco Giants shortstop Brandon Crawford (ankle) was removed from Tuesday’s game against the Atlanta Braves with an apparent ankle injury. He appeared to jam his ankle pretty hard on his late slide at the plate in the fourth inning. The 35-year-old went 1-for-1 with an RBI and a run scored before exiting. Crawford is considered day-to-day, and an update should be provided after the game. Wilmer Flores replaced Crawford and would see an uptick in at-bats if the veteran infielder misses any time. Flores is a speculative add in most leagues after hitting .236 with eight home runs and 35 RBI over 220 at-bats in 2022.
