San Francisco Giants pitcher Camilo Doval tossed a clean inning to earn the save in Saturday’s 7-5 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates. The right-hander entered the game in the ninth inning to protect a two-run lead. He made quick work of Pittsburgh’s top of the order and needed just 11 pitches to earn his 11th save of the season. The 24-year-old has been terrific as San Francisco’s primary closer and is 11-of-13 save chances this year. Doval owns a 2.45 ERA, 1.09 WHIP, and a 35:11 K: BB across 29 1/3 innings in 2022.
