One of the hallmarks of being a great organization, like the Pittsburgh Steelers, is constantly finding star players in the draft.
George Pickens might be next in line for that title.
No one has made more highlight-reel catches than Pickens this summer, and the coaching staff has taken notice. According to Steelers reporter Mark Kaboly, Pickens is “one of the best wide receivers I’ve seen as a rookie.”
Diontae Johnson will hold the title for No. 1 receiver heading into the season, but if Pickens is the star he seems like, that honor is not a guarantee. There will be competition for targets in a run-heavy offense, so his production may be dampened. As a result, DraftKings still has him at +2000 to win the Offensive Rookie of the Year award. There’s a chance his odds will never be this generous again.
