Giants Waiting To See More From Kenny Golladay

Kenny Golladay

After a disappointing first season with the New York Giants, wide receiver Kenny Golladay is on the clock this year to find his footing with Big Blue.

According to reports, Golladay simply isn’t separating from defensive backs early in training camp and is proving, with each passing day, to possess a disaster of a contract for the team. With a salary of $18 million a year, it gives the Giants a big hole in not only their cap sheet, but the roster as well, given Golladay’s expected contributions.

In the meantime, rookie receiver Wan’Dale Robinson has taken full advantage of the looks he’s been given due to versatility and confidence, not to mention second year receiver Kadarius Toney’s status on the team as well. As the Giants turn to younger players for production, Thursday will be a brutal reminder for Golladay marking 22 months since the last touchdown he scored.

The 28-year-old finished with 37 catches on 76 targets for 521 yards and no scores in 14 games last year. The Giants are hoping a new offense under head coach Brian Daboll and a healthy Daniel Jones will help Golladay bounce back, but early returns don’t seem too promising.
