Isaiah Wynn to switch sides, play right tackle

The New England Patriots don’t shy away from unorthodox decisions. Bill Belichick struck again with the decision to try Isaiah Wynn at right tackle.

A sequel to the surprise selection of Cole Strange, Wynn doesn’t have a ton of professional or collegiate experience at this spot. He’ll aim to provide assistance on the right side of the line while Mac Jones tries to avoid a sophomore year slump. A potential jump by Jones could mean big things for the Patriots’ playoff hopes, especially if it is facilitated by an improved line that also helps the rushing attack.

Currently, FanDuel lists them as +160 to make the postseason. With an $100 bet, that would net you $160 worth of profit.

In the meantime, Trent Brown will man the left tackle position. It’s yet to be seen if this swap will be permanent, but New England seems set on at least giving it a shot.
