John Wall Picks Up Player Option

Kentucky's TyTy Washington makes this pass past Georgia's Christian Wright

Houston Rockets guard John Wall has unsurprisingly accepted his player option for next season. This was a no-brainer for Wall considering the option is worth $47.4 million. Wall didn’t play a single minute last season, so he’s not going to get anywhere near that amount of money in free agency. In fact, Wall is the second-highest paid player in the league right now. The Rockets are expected to work on a trade or buy-out with the veteran guard this offseason. He averaged 20.6 points and 6.9 assists during the 2020 season. The Miami Heat and Los Angeles Clippers have been rumored to be possible suitors for Wall. Fantasy managers should wait and see where Wall ends up before considering him a fantasy option.
