The Minnesota Vikings are under new management, so we shouldn’t be surprised to see them trying new things.
However, moving superstar wide receiver Justin Jefferson around the offense wasn’t on most checklists. Head coach Kevin O’Connell has plugged Jefferson into a variety of roles, replicating Cooper Kupp’s usage in a myriad of ways. Kupp famously found himself matched up against less-than-stellar defenders on his way to a historic season.
Jefferson, who is arguably more talented, will be a focal point of the Minnesota offense. In a role that helps feature his skill set even further, a monster season could be on the horizon. It begs a long look at his +2000 odds to win the NFL Offensive Player of the Year award (DraftKings).
