Kenneth Walker III Uninspiring In Preseason Debut

The Seattle Seahawks made the questionable call of drafting a running back early in the second round. They doubled down on their quirkiness by deciding not to start him come Week 1.

Yet, Kenneth Walker III started the first preseason game for Seattle after starter Rashaad Penny couldn’t go. With a chance to make the “competition” more exciting, Walker stalled out, providing a mediocre performance. He was unable to pull off any big plays to get the hype train rolling and was outperformed by those below him on the depth chart. All in all, it wasn’t a great day for the rookie, even if his play was not inherently terrible.

Walker currently sports the 7th-best odds to win Offensive Rookie of the Year, per DraftKings. Given the steps he’ll need to take and the struggles Penny will have to see in order for his role to increase, you’ll be better of taking Kenny Pickett (+800) or Breece Hall (+800).
