Kyle Philips Working With The Starters

We knew the Tennessee Titans would not rush rookie quarterback Malik Willis into a starting role, but they can’t say the same for other positions on the offense.

Rookie wide receiver Kyle Philips saw starting reps as a slot receiver on Tuesday. The fifth-rounder has drawn attention from the coaching staff and likely benefitted from fellow rookie Treylon Burks’ up-and-down camp. The entire receiving corps will attempt to mitigate the loss of A.J. Brown and complement one of the game’s most feared rushing attacks.

Philips is currently listed at +8000 to win Offensive Rookie of the Year, per DraftKings. Even if he starts, though, he isn’t likely to be a focal point of the passing offense. A better bet may be his teammate, Burks, listed at +800 and a similar schematic fit to Brown.
