A year ago, Philadelphia Eagles running back Miles Sanders was touted as a valuable RB2 in fantasy football. Now, he might be the RB2 on his own team.
Sanders spent Friday’s training camp getting carries with the second-team offense. Coming off a year in which he was not particularly productive or healthy, Sanders will have to earn his starting spot once again. He failed to score a touchdown in 2021.
His competition for rushes will be running mates Boston Scott and Kenneth Gainwell, who were more efficient with the ball in their hands last year. He will also have to deal with quarterback Jalen Hurts, who is always a threat to run. Philadelphia boasts one of the league’s most potent rushing attacks, regardless of who is carrying the rock.
With FanDuel currently offering -112 odds on a rushing yards total of 850.5, there’s a lot of room for value betting on Sanders to underperform.
