Peter Lambert Still Has Elbow Pain

Peter Lambert

Colorado Rockies right-hander Peter Lambert (elbow) is still dealing with the effects of Tommy John surgery on his right elbow in 2020 and remains on the seven-day injured list at Triple-A Albuquerque. There remains no timetable for when he’ll return to game action. The Rockies were hoping that the former second-round pick could provide some pitching depth this year, but the setbacks continue to happen. In four minor league appearances, he has a 6.23 ERA with 11 strikeouts in 8 2/3 innings, with his last outing coming on June 1 when he gave up five runs and seven hits in 2 2/3 innings. If Lambert is able to return to the Rockies this year, it could be in a relief role, limiting his fantasy appeal.
