Stephen Curry States He Will Play On Friday Night

Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry (foot) is probable for Game 4 of the NBA Finals after injuring his left foot during Wednesday’s loss to Boston.

Curry also stated he would play, with head coach Steve Kerr reporting that the former MVP would use Thursday as a recovery day.

“I’m going to play,” said Curry. “That’s all I know right now.”

Per reports, Curry avoided a major injury that would have kept him out of the Finals and beyond.

Now, the 2-time MVP preps for a grueling Game 4 in Boston as the Warriors trail the Celtics 2-1 in the series.

“[I got] about 10½ hours of sleep, a couple dunks in the ice bucket and that’s about it for now,” said Curry. “Then take advantage of today and tomorrow to get completely ready for the game. Get as much recovery and healing as possible and understand how important Game 4 is. I’m excited about the opportunity.”

Unless Curry has 2016 LeBron James up his sleeve, he’ll need to win Game 4 in hopes of not going down 3-1 in the series.

The 34-year-old has played exceptionally well in this series, averaging 31.3 points, 5.0 boards, 2.7 steals and shooting 48.7% from deep. If anything, he’ll need Klay Thompson and Draymond Green to step up if the Warriors hope to come back in this series.

Nevertheless, there’s always a chance things could take a turn in the wrong direction regarding his health. Yet, once Curry is officially made active, DFS managers should give him a look.
