Utah Jazz Hire Will Hardy As Head Coach

Will Hardy, San Antonio Spurs assistant coach

The Utah Jazz have a new head man and it comes in the form of former Boston Celtics assistant coach Will Hardy. Hardy and the team agreed to a five-year deal on Tuesday.

The 34-year-old will ow become the youngest active coach in the league. It should be noted that former Celtics executive Danny Ainge plays a big role in the Jazz organization now, so there is a clear connection between the two franchises. Hardy spent one year under head coach Ime Udoka in Boston and also previously served as an assistant coach for Gregg Popovich in San Antonio with the Spurs.

Hardy is considered a rising star in the coaching ranks and will now get a chance to showcase that in Utah. He joins a Jazz organization that may be beginning an overhaul this offseason after finishing 49-33 last season and falling short in the playoffs once again.
