Zack Greinke Expected To Make Rehab Start Sunday

Zack Greinke

Kansas City Royals right-hander Zack Greinke (forearm) is expected to make his first rehab start on Sunday for Triple-A Omaha. Greinke landed on the injured list at the end of May with a forearm strain after admitting that he has been feeling soreness in his right arm for much of the season. It is unclear how many rehab starts Greinke will need, although it is encouraging that he has been on the injured list for less than two weeks. The 38-year-old veteran has struggled in 2022, posting an 0-4 record, 5.05 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and just 25 strikeouts over 51 2/3 innings of work.
