The Jones File
- One Pro Bowl selection, 2020
- Co-led the NFL in rushing touchdowns (16), 2019
- Signed a four-year, $48 million contract extension with the Green Bay Packers
Thanks, Bryan
Aaron Jones has made a living scoring touchdowns for the Green Bay Packers. One touchdown, however, made the rest seem small.
Jones lost his father to complications with the coronavirus. To honor him, Jones wore a pendant with his ashes as he evaded defenders and made his family proud.
Early in the 2021 season against Detroit, Jones lost the pendant in the end zone during one of his four touchdowns. After an initial scramble, the pendant seemed lost in Lambeau. After the game, athletic trainer Bryan Engel spent hours looking for the lost item. Around 1:45 a.m., he was successful and was able to return the pendant to Jones.
Jones, overjoyed, profusely thanked the trainer, and went as far as to buy scooters for his family. It offered a happy ending to the scariest score of Jones' career.
