The Perks of Greatness
Being the best middle linebacker in the NFL has its perks. For San Francisco's Fred Warner, that means more than one of the most lucrative contract extensions a linebacker has ever seen.
Warner spent the summer of 2022 checking items off of his bucket list. Perhaps first on that list was driving the pace car at Sonoma Raceway.
Getting the chance to lead the competing vehicles in the official Toyota Camry pace car was an experience Warner was greatly anticipating.
I've always enjoyed NASCAR," started Warner. "And to get the opportunity to lead the field around an awesome raceway like Sonoma is going to be one of the highlights of my life."
Maybe next year, Warner will be even more locked in as he races around the field racking up tackles. If he can stay in front of some of the planet's fastest vehicles, the speed of an NFL game can't seem too hard in comparison.
