Reggie Jackson's Fun Quarantine Stay
Like the rest of us, the pandemic-induced quarantine caught Reggie Jackson off guard and unprepared. He had just been traded to the Los Angeles Clippers, and like many NBA players playing with perpetual uncertainty, didn't exactly have a place to stay.
Jackson stayed in. a hotel once he was traded and continued to do so at the start of quarantine. He recalls being thankful that others were not occupying nearby rooms, giving him the freedom to dribble.
With that said, we can all agree a hotel is not adequate grounds for a professional basketball player to practice. That's where Clippers star Paul George comes in.
George is good friends with Jackson, dating back before the trade that sent him to Los Angeles. The superstar has amassed more wealth than you, I, and Jackson combined, and was fortunate to have a second, unused home in the City of Angels. One that included a basketball court.
Jackson made himself comfortable at George's outside court, allowing himself to shoot around, even in solitude. Technically, this broke a league rule regarding basketball activities. However, we shouldn't expect a punishment to be handed down anytime soon. It was nearly an impossible rule to follow, at least for NBA stars with basketball courts on their property.
And their friends.
