Darren Waller has commendably put Super Bowl aspirations over his own personal wealth.
The Las Vegas Raiders tight end has announced, “whatever happens with that, I’m here playing,” as it pertains to his current contract negotiations. He’s taken a step back, allowing his agent to solely handle the talks.
Player’s of Waller’s stature are no stranger to holding out, but with Las Vegas’ seemingly all in for 2022, preparing for the season has taken precedence. Waller reported to training camp on Wednesday, confirming his intentions.
After a season in which he hauled in 55 receptions for 865 yards and two scores, he’ll look to benefit off of Davante Adams’ arrival. With DraftKings giving the Raiders +160 odds to make the playoffs, they’ll need the very best of their dynamic pass catchers.
