The Jacksonville Jaguars aren’t completely devoid of talent, but they’re pretty close. One position of strength, though, is running back.
There, James Robinson and sophomore Travis Etienne Jr. offer a complementary approach to a promising backfield.
The former was seen taking first-team snaps on Monday for the first time this camp. Rehabbing with a torn Achilles is always difficult, so it is nice to see some early success from the 23-year-old. It’s too early to tell how head coach Doug Pederson will truly deploy his backs, though we can assume Etienne will take most of the third-down reps.
From a betting perspective, Robinson’s lines don’t stand out. However, he could make reaching Etienne’s 705.5 rush yard line (DraftKings) that much harder to reach, so taking a look at the -115 odds on the under could be profitable.
