Joe Burrow To Remove Appendix

Some fans would give up a limb for a Super Bowl. Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is willing to give up his appendix.

The superstar quarterback is undergoing surgery to remove his appendix on Tuesday. Subsequently, he’ll be missing the start of training camp, though there is no long-term concern attached to the surgery. All involved are thankful that this is happening at the brink of camp rather than the middle of the season.

Burrow is no stranger to surgery, having surgery to repay a torn left ACL and MCL in 2o20. Thankfully, this one won’t have a serious impact on his playing career.

The 25-year-old has +1200 odds to win the league’s MVP award in 2022, per FanDuel. His surgical breaking down of defenses can help him chase that goal once he’s healthy.
