Mariners Reinstate Ken Giles From Injured List

Toronto Blue Jays relief pitcher Ken Giles prepares to deliver a pitch during a game

The Seattle Mariners have reinstated relief pitcher Ken Giles (finger) from the 60-day injured list on Monday. Giles previously signed as a free agent with Seattle before the 2021 season. At the time he was still sidelined after undergoing Tommy John surgery. The veteran missed time this season due to a sprained finger in his right hand. Giles will join a Seattle bullpen that hasn’t always operated with a set closer, which could limit his fantasy upside if he’s able to pitch in save situations. The Mariners’ other late-inning options include Paul Sewald, Diego Castillo, and Andres Munoz.
