Sonny Gray To Start Wednesday

Sonny Gray

Minnesota Twins starting pitcher Sonny Gray (pectoral) will come off the injured list and start on Wednesday against the Seattle Mariners. Gray went on the injured list on June 2 with a right pectoral strain and didn’t go on a minor league rehab assignment, so he could be a bit limited in his first start back. The 32-year-old threw a 30-pitch simulated game last Friday. Gray has been outstanding this year for fantasy managers, going 3-1 with a 2.41 ERA, 0.98 WHIP, 39 strikeouts and 10 walks in 33 2/3 innings over his seven starts so far in 2022. The Twins rotation is getting both Gray and Joe Ryan, who was on the COVID injured list, back this week.
