Andrew Heaney To Increase To Five Innings

Andrew Heaney

Los Angeles Dodgers left-hander Andrew Heaney (shoulder) will be expected to work at least five innings next Tuesday in his third minor league rehab start with Double-A Tulsa, according to skipper Dave Roberts. Heaney allowed two hits while walking none and striking out five in 4 1/3 scoreless innings for Triple-A Oklahoma City in his second rehab start on Thursday. In 7 1/3 rehab innings so far, the 31-year-old southpaw has given up just one earned run while walking none and striking out 10, so he’s just about ready to rejoin LA’s rotation. Heaney hadn’t allowed a run in either of his first two starts with the Dodgers this year before his injury, and he needs to be swooped up immediately if he’s on your league’s waiver wire.
