San Francisco Giants first baseman Brandon Belt (knee) is progressing toward making a return to the field. Belt hasn’t appeared in a game since May 18 as he has been on the injured list with inflammation in his right knee. The veteran took batting practice on Monday and is participating in full baseball activity. Belt could be activated in the coming days, which will provide a boost for the San Francisco lineup. He is hitting .228 with four homers, 14 runs, 11 RBI, and a steal over 101 at-bats in 2022.
