Brandon Drury Returns Thursday

Brandon Drury

Cincinnati Reds third baseman Brandon Drury (Achilles) is back at third base and is hitting second on Thursday against Arizona Diamondbacks right-hander Zach Davies. Drury was scratched from Wednesday’s starting lineup with right Achilles soreness, but it obviously wasn’t very serious, as he’s back in there a day later. The 29-year-old has been displaying plenty of power this year with the Reds, slugging 11 home runs and driving in 30 in 190 plate appearances over 47 games. In the last week, Drury has gone 12-for-27 (.444) with three home runs, four RBI and a stolen base. Overall, he’s hitting .266/.326/.515 with an .841 OPS. Continue to ride Drury’s hot streak.
