The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have dealt with their fair share of injuries this summer, but they’ve answered with a series of late-offseason moves.
Free-agent defensive end Carl Nassib has signed a one-year deal with the Buccaneers. Now 29, Nassib didn’t quite live up to the hype his third-round draft capital generated, but he’ll aim to compete for a depth role in Tampa Bay. He spend the last two years with the Las Vegas Raiders. He had 1.5 sacks and a forced fumble in 2021.
Ultimately this doesn’t move the needle much at all when it comes to long-term bets. Tampa still has +750 odds to win it all, per FanDuel, and deciding on that bet should hinge on your confidence in their offensive line, not a bottom-of-the-roster defensive end.
