Clyde Edwards-Helaire Optimistic After Healthy Offseason

Clyde Edwards-Helaire

Kansas City Chiefs running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire is optimistic that he can have a big season in 2022. However, with a deep depth chart at the position, whether he gets the necessary opportunity to have a big season remains up-in-the-air. Edwards-Helaire will also have to contend with Ronald Jones II, Jerick McKinnon, and Derrick Gore for playing time in a pass happy offense.

CEH began learning the team’s offense through virtual meetings during the coronavirus pandemic and admitted that he returned to0 early, late in the year from hip and ankle injuries. He had gallbladder surgery the following offseason and was slowed in 2021 by an MCL sprain in his left knee and a left collarbone injury.

“This offseason, it was pretty much getting back to the basics, being able to have a full offseason,” Edwards-Helaire said. The 23-year-old is feeling great, and that is noteworthy from the former first round pick. It is clear just how badly head coach Andy Reid and offensive coordinator Eric Bienemy want to involve the former LSU star in the offense, but it has been efficiency that was lacking.

Regardless, until proven otherwise, Edwards-Helaire is a worthy fade candidate and we can show that by betting the under 700.5 rushing yards total set at DraftKings for -115, meaning you can make $86.95 on a $100 bet.
