Tim Anderson To Begin Rehab Assignment Tuesday

Tim Anderson

Chicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson (groin) is scheduled to start a minor league rehab assignment with Triple-A Charlotte on Tuesday, according to manager Tony La Russa. Anderson has been out since he suffered a right groin strain on May 30, but there’s a chance he’s back by next weekend if everything goes well on his rehab assignment. The 28-year-old should remain stashed in all fantasy formats and remains a must-star whenever he’s playing. In 163 at-bats before his injury, Anderson was hitting a stellar .356/.393/.503 with an .896 OPS, five home runs, 19 RBI, 24 runs scored and eight stolen bases. Danny Mendick will continue to man the 6 in Chicago until Anderson returns from the injured list.
