Justin Jefferson Makes Bold Proclamation

Tyler Conklin

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson believes Davante Adams is currently the NFL’s best wideout, but not for long. Jefferson is anticipating a big season for himself on the horizon, and with Adams now playing for the Raiders, he might just be right.

“I’ll say after this year, I’ll be the best receiver in the NFL,” Jefferson said during a recent interview.

It remains to be seen how Adams will fare away from the Packers and Aaron Rodgers, while Jefferson gets the boost of not only having a new head coach, but a new offense as well. Make no mistake about it though.

The 23-year-old Jefferson has been at an elite level since entering the league in 2020, totaling 3,016 yards and 17 touchdowns off 196 catches. That seems like a pretty good starting point for the argument he wants to make. Regardless of what Adams does this season, Jefferson remains in a great spot to be in the conversation for the best fantasy receiver in 2022.

Considering his career to this point, I wouldn’t be surprised if Jefferson takes over as the league’s top receiver as well. If you believe him, consider heading over to DraftKings for Jefferson to surpass 1500.5 receiving yards and 11.5 receiving touchdowns. They are giving us a +550 price, meaning a $100 bet will net you $550 in return as well.
