Nick’s Picks: Week 4’s Longshot TD Parlay

Picking teams to win or cover the spread is fun and all, but nothing gets the blood pumping like a longshot touchdown parlay. Now we advise you to take this as straight, or single bets to preserve your bankroll, but that’s up to you.

Always remember that these are longshots for a reason and never bet more than you are comfortable with. If we want to keep these going every week, we need to stay in the game and protect our bankroll. As long as everything goes according to plan, we’ll be celebrating by the time the late window kicks off Sunday afternoon.

Longshot Touchdown Parlay of the Week

Chris Olave (NO) +210

It just wouldn’t be right if we avoided action on the London game. The Saints‘ rookie Chris Olave has been targeted often by Jameis Winston, but unfortunately, in this case, Andy Dalton will get the start. However, he is among the leaders in targets across the league and will have the benefit of a banged-up Saints offense, missing Michael Thomas and maybe Alvin Kamara. Since they’ll have to score at some point, expect the backup Dalton to look at Olave a ton across the pond, getting the former Ohio State star his first career touchdown. Although, we’ll have the check foreign exchange rates if that comes to fruition.

Christian Kirk (JAX) +220

No one expected Christian Kirk to have this kind of impact in Jacksonville when he signed that big contract in the offseason. However, he is among the league leaders in red zone targets with nine, catching five of them. Three of those receptions have gone for touchdowns. Considering how involved Kirk is, plus factoring in that he’ll line up in the slot and avoid the Eagles‘ best cornerbacks, this is a great price for someone the market hasn’t caught up to yet. Trevor Lawrence trusts him. The Jaguars trust him. We should too.

Breece Hall (NYJ) +220

Taking Breece Hall at +210 is a pure value play with the idea that the Jets will keep the ball on the ground a lot in Pittsburgh. Offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur has spoken at great length over how much he wants to run the ball, making Hall the perfect play. For reference, when Zach Wilson returned from injury last season, the Jets ran the ball 34 times as a way to ease Wilson back into the flow. Their top back at the time was Tevin Coleman, who received 16 of those carries. If the Jets’ offense gets around the goal line, expect them to try and bully their way into the end zone with Hall, who is potentially on the verge of a breakout.

Darnell Mooney (CHI) +310

The biggest longshot pick is a guy from a team that is allergic to throwing the ball. Makes sense right? Well, here’s the logic. The Bears have been heavily criticized for the way they’ve handled Justin Fields and the passing game so far. Expect that to change in some way on Sunday. Darnell Mooney currently has a 25% target share in the Bears offense and posted a 38% share in Week 3. Unconfirmed rumors circulated Saturday of Fields’ discontent with the lack of passing attempts. Whether that’s true or not remains to be seen, but we’ll take a shot at a change of approach in northern New Jersey. Mooney has scored a touchdown in both games against the Giants in his career. It’s said that everything comes in threes, so consider that a good omen.

Parlay +12915

This parlay pays +12915, meaning a $100 bet will add another $12,915 to your bottom line. There is tremendous value on four guys that project to be their team’s top options this week. Happy betting and remember to always play responsibly. With that being said, let’s make some money.

Basic Tips

A parlay is when you combine outcomes and need all of them to win for your bet to be a winner. For example, combining Olave, Kirk, Hall, and Mooney to score touchdowns would all need to happen to win the +12915 bet. Parlays have larger payouts than normal straight bets, meaning they are riskier and more unlikely to actually happen due to the number of things required to happen.

Hello there, I’m Nick Brinkerhoff, a New Jersey native with enough sarcasm and attitude to show I’m not from New York. Despite being Jersey born and bred, I’m a diehard New York sports fan (Jets, Nets, Rangers, Mets) who has seen plenty of losing, but my sports betting ability will hopefully continue to balance those scales. I have season tickets to the Jets but believe it to be more character building than bad asset management. Althoug
