Pats Willing To Trade Damien Harris

Rumor has it, the New England Patriots are taking calls on their current starting running back.

Damien Harris finished with 929 rushing yards and 15 touchdowns in 2021, but his skill set hasn’t separated itself from the pack of Patriots backs. With a pay day looming, New England may be trying to get some value for him while they still can, especially if they aren’t interested in an extension.

The main competition for touches this year will be Rhamondre Stevenson, a slightly more dynamic option. In the event Harris gets dealt, Stevenson will likely take hold of the vacated rushes while maintaining the receiving advantage he already had. Remember, Harris scored 15 touchdowns last year.

FanDuel is still offering +7500 odds on Stevenson to lead the league in rushing touchdowns. That value won’t last if the Harris smoke turns to fire. It’s a worthy long shot wager to make, even if you’re not willing to break the bank on it.
