Is DeAndre Hopkins the Best Wide Receiver in His Own Family?
DeAndre Hopkins dealt with more adversity than anyone should ever endure, but thanks to strong familial relationships and the game of football, he persevered.
Well, they persevered.
Hopkins' sister, Kesha Smith, grew up with Hopkins and shares a love for the game of football. So much so that she excelled on her own, blossoming into a star for Houston's Independent Women's Football League (IWFL) team. It was reported that the two would watch highlights while they shared a Houston apartment.
Hopkins has gone on to dominate NFL competition, but there will always be a competition waiting for him at home.
"I'm more Wes Welker than DeAndre Hopkins," she said in an interview with Greenville News. "Just give me the ball in the open field and let me make magic happen."
