Kevin Byard is known for being a great safety on the field, who excels in coverage. So while he may not be getting grilled on the field in that department, he enjoys doing the grilling off the field. According to Byard, it is his new favorite hobby, trying to find the perfect recipe and flavors. Kind of like designing a great defensive scheme.
For the star safety, trying new things is what he enjoys most about creating new rubs and grilling up new combinations of food. Byard's favorite is chicken wings, beef tips, and turkey burgers.
Once away from the grill, Byard is heavily involved in charity work with The Byard Family Legacy Fund, which was designed to help families get the support they need through their tough times.
