Mecole Hardman’s first three seasons in the NFL must have been just a tad humbling. Hardman came out of Georgia with the reputation of being faster than Britney Spears’ first marriage. Hardman is so fast his nickname is, “Jet.”
He gets drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs and guess what’s waiting in the locker room? A Cheetah.
Of all the NFL teams, Hardman went to the one that boasted Tyreek Hill. For the record, Hill (4.29 in the 40) is faster than Hardman (4.33) although the latter was once clocked at 4.22 in a celebrity challenge race with disgraced wide receiver Henry Ruggs.
Bottom line, Hill has a reputation for being one of the league’s elite game breaker. Hardman was an afterthought, albeit, a very fast one. But this could be the Hardman’s year to show his wheel. Hill was traded to the Dolphins leaving Hardman as the team’s resident speedster.
The Jet is cleared for takeoff.
