Trent Williams Is Right To Be Pissed Off
Trent Williams is one of the game's best offensive tackles. His athleticism, strength, technique, and demeanor have helped him become the most significant cog in the Kyle Shanahan machine. If he's so good, how come he got traded for a couple of insignificant draft picks?
Williams forced his way out of Washington after an ordeal with the team's medical staff. In 2013, Washington's medical team noticed a growth on Williams' body, but they did not consider it serious. Six years later, Williams would have surgery to remove the growth, then diagnosed as dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans (DFSP), a type of cancer. Once fully recovered, Williams was irate, but ready to play football again.
He would get traded to San Francisco and play for his old offensive coordinator. Now, he gets to spend his days circling Washington's week on the calendar and counting down the games until he can embarrass them once more.
