Crazy Eyes
Bobby "Crazy Eyes" Portis was never supposed to make it this far. He had a rough childhood, but overcame the odds to make it all the way to NBA Champion with the Milwaukee Bucks. Portis views himself as his mother's, Tina Edwards, protector. He famously makes himself angry before every game, envisioning the opposition as getting ready to hit his mother, who dealt with domestic violence in her life.
That's a scary sight for opponents, who have to deal with one of the toughest guys in the league, on one of the most physical teams. It's not an easy feat. While fans probably know him mostly for his intensity, it's important to remember Portis' three-point shooting ability and strong rebounding, which made him such a key piece on a championship team.
Don't let those eyes fool you though. He is also a charitable individual and started, The Bobby Portis Foundation to illustrate just that. The foundation aims to support single mothers, much like Tina once helped support a younger Bobby.
