The Gentle Giant
If you saw Brook Lopez in person, he's probably an intimidating person just based off sheer height. Yet, spend a few minutes talking to him and it couldn't be more opposite. It's been well documented for years that Lopez is addicted to all things Disney, never missing an opportunity to visit one of the theme parks. He could also be described as a bit of a nerd, as a huge fan of Star Wars and comic books, which is further evidenced by his Instagram account handle, "brookiethewookie11."
We also can't forget the famous IG account Brook made for his cat, Poupin [poo-POE], that found itself in some social media drama with Brook's twin brother Robin's cat, for their failure to get along with one another.
After entering the league in 2008, Brook dealt with injuries at times through his tenure with the then-New Jersey Nets, before being a key player to help with their Brooklyn relocation. Lopez's career longevity can partially be attributed to his adaptation to the modern NBA, developing a three point shot to extend his career. By the time Lopez left the Nets organization, he went down as one of the best players in franchise history and only the second to surpass the 10,000 points mark, en route to cementing himself as the highest scoring Net in team history.
