No stranger to success
Brandon Ingram probably doesn't get the attention he truly deserves in NBA circles. For the most part, it seems like many associate him mostly with the Lakers' trade for Anthony Davis, which he was involved in. Yet the former second overall pick has carved out a nice career in the bayou as a foundational piece for the New Orleans Pelicans and their potential championship dreams.
Then again, Ingram has won before, so success is expected. He helped his high school basketball team win the state championship in all four years of school, making him one of the only players in North Carolina's history to achieve that. So it only makes sense that Ingram would later attend Duke, a place known for producing high level NBA talent. Although he was mentored by Jerry Stackhouse, an alumni of rival UNC, Ingram and Stackhouse were able to put their differences aside to form a good relationship.
If you take one look at the Pelicans' forward, there is probably one NBA star that comes to mind, Kevin Durant. So it's not a surprise that Ingram apparently models his game after one of the game's best.
Off the court, Ingram likes to draw and sketch, particularly other NBA players. Otherwise, he's probably on the water fishing, where he spends plenty of time.
