The last thing he expected to go viral for was an awkward off-court moment.
During his first press day as a member of the Toronto Raptors, Leonard got himself acquainted with Toronto media. Having long shied away from the spotlight, questions arose about his personality and presence as the lone superstar on a team.
To that, he told reporters he was a "fun guy" before unleashing an unheard of laugh that bounced around social media like his legendary series-clinching shot that would come mere months later. Now a distant memory, you may not remember it, but based on the amount of impressions...you've heard the laugh.
It's been turned into a meme, edited into funny videos, and otherwise attached itself to Leonard, who wasn't too keen on this laughing matter.
For all the accolades, statistics, and basketball memories, a 30-second clip may forever headline his career. It's funny how those things work out.
